Chrome Stable Channel Update

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\SwReporter\VERSION\software_reporter_tool.exe

Per the linked instructions, deletion "is a temporary method as the executable will reappear when Chrome is updated to the next version."

 

I found it and deleted it.

 

Chrome missing "always open these types of links in the associated app" checkbox

Starting with build 3865.90 Chrome has removed the checkbox to remember protocol handlers. I have just cleared browser cache and noticed this when trying to open a magnet link.

And it's funny how Google remains as vague as possible about these security fixes. From what I understood, some of them were sandbox bypasses, these are the most dangerous ones.

Did this ^ and I don't see a thumbnail image of the web page. In fact, I see no difference between (default) disabled and enabled.

 

After setting of chrome://flags/#tab-hover-cards and chrome://flags/#tab-hover-card-images to Enabled it should look like this (the thumbnail is not displayed for the currently active tab):
