Chrome v68 has a new look; I like the new tabs, but the new tab button has been moved to the far left which is inconvenient. Is there a way to move it back to the right of last tab?
chrome://flags/#top-chrome-md maybe, you run Refresh try Default or Hybrid Edit: https://www.askvg.com/tip-enable-new-material-design-refresh-ui-in-google-chrome/
Thanks for this. The Hybrid option restores the old chrome tabs and moves the new tab button back to the right of the last tab. I actually like the shape of the tabs in the new UI, but for now I prefer having the new tab button in the old position
I found out good news today. Chrome 68 is the first version to finally support Payload Restrictions (PayloadRestrictions.dll) from Windows Defender Exploit Guard. Essentially, the anti-ROP EMET mitigations in latest Windows 10. Previous versions of Chrome all denied the injection of PayloadRestrictions.dll which is required for those mitigations (EAF/EAF+, StackPivot, etc.) to function correctly. Currently, I enable all of those Payload Restrictions with the exception of EAF/EAF+ since that in particular still has a noticeable performance hit.
This would be enabled through Windows Defender Exploit Guard UI along with any other process mitigations you may already have enabled.
