Google Chrome emergency update fixes zero-day exploited in attacks https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ne...y-update-fixes-zero-day-exploited-in-attacks/ -------------- Chrome 98.0.4758.102 security update with patch for actively exploited vulnerability https://www.ghacks.net/2022/02/15/c...h-patch-for-actively-exploited-vulnerability/
Note: It seems that sandbox escapes aren't always marked as such. I have seen it before that a news article talked about a vulnerability used to escape the sandbox, but the Google post about the update only mentioned the technical name of the vulnerability and not the fact that it could escape the sandbox.

Google's Chrome is not my default browser but understandably, the manual & automatic updates for macOS are also non-existent so far (Throttled?). I tried the one from @mood immediately above and it rendered the previous version of 98. So I used the one that the Mac Homebrew app (brew) currently uses: Code: https://dl.google.com/chrome/mac/universal/stable/GGRO/googlechrome.dmg and that reinstall seems to have me upgraded/up-to-date with "Version 99.0.4844.51 (Official Build) (arm64)" now. Thank you always to all. HTH
