    Eh, it's not such a "controversy" when you step back and realize how many times NSS Labs has seemingly had a bit too much infatuation with IE. Good read, thank you.

    But this article still places IE in second place after Chrome (something most of us knew) so NSS can't have been that far off.

    THey place them after chrome using entirely different metrics. NSS labs was measures how much malware IE picked up and Accuvant looked at exploit mitigation. They had completely opposing results when it came to scanning malware showing they both had virtually the same detection rates and both detection rates were very low.
