    this is going too far for Google. Too aggressive for my taste. A browser is supposed to be a browser, not a password manager. I may have to go back to Firefox for now. What a shame for Google.

    It's not integrated into Chrome. It's just an extension, which you don't have to install.

    oops, thanks for the reminder. Sorry I did not read carefully the original article. Doesn't look like a great extension for me. Maybe the intention is good but I feel it's a bit too intrusive.

    Google is becoming a joke. I was wondering what kind of incompetent programmers do they hire to write all these high risk products like browsers and its plugins?
    it's truly a shame.

    To be honest it's not even a bad idea, I personally never really thought about this type of threat, but even experienced users might fall for this simple trick. I think this type of stuff should be standard in all browsers (with on/off switch), of course it should then be implemented in a better way.
