I am using Opera sine few months and like its look and fell too much. However I got irritated by ads being pushed by it. Whenever I search something it gives me 3 or more results on the top that are ads. Also off and on it adds a speed dial without user permision and every time I need to delete it. Chrome on the other hand doesn't do it but I can't use it as Chrome for android has no builtin ad blocker. Don't want to use Edge. Now I need to choose between Brave n Vivaldi. As both are forks of Chrome with builtin ad blockers I don,t see much difference in them. I am assuming both have equivalent sync features. Sync is really important to me. I want Sync to work universally across devices( independent of the OS- windows, android, linux etc). Should I choose any of these two or feature-wise there are some significant difference between the two. Thanks
For chrome on android sync with google account is mandatory to get extensions and more from a desktop build. Forget about forks. Chrome itself is naked here, because I use Firefox on android, synced. Anytime I would install ublock origin to any browser.
What do you mean by this pls? I use google account for sync on chrome and adguard as well but chrome on android doesn't support extensions. Firefox is quite slow in my experience esp on andorid.
For Android, the only one I use now is Bromite with its built-in ad blocker based on uBO: https://www.bromite.org/ I don't know if it works with sync, however.
yes, you are right, chrome nor chromium do support extensions beside sync. my bad. people listed KIWI or yandex browser. firefox 68 (fennec, outdated) or the newer version v82 (fenix)? i would say it depends - depends on extensions. ofc it takes ressources to load extensions (and its dataa + updates, ublock to name) and a lot of bookmarks. but the latest nightly v83 is loading and usable quite fast, but it has noting installed as v68 on my android 6 phone. i am no friend of forks and other not origin builds. you mentioned adguard, i run premium on my phone to avoid ads for all apps. this ofc very suitable for browsers without some adblocker.
I believe Vivaldi has a sync feature that should work on Windows, macOS and Android. Vivaldi is the better choice when customization options are important to you. But Brave is probably better when it comes to providing built-in anti-tracking features.
I choose vivaldi at the moment. Tried Brave but it has same issue as opera, so many ads in google search results. Plain Chrome should be better than brave n opera in this case.

Try Vivaldi, I'm sure it won't let you down. Sync works perfect across devices. Actually it's who do you trust. I trust more Norwegians than Chinese. I also not sure about Brave business model.

I am a Vivaldi user as well, however I find it slower than brave. In launching and opening pages. Brave is snappier but I am kinda sick of their crypto stuff and also upon updating it forgets some settings.
Launching slowness doesn't matter to me 'cause it's always open. Opening pages is very fast. Actually so fast that I seldom use tabs, just bookmarks/ quick command.
