Hello, Yesterday I had my very first BSOD due to nvlddmkm.sys (0x0116). After resetting my computer I performed Chkdsk on the drive to see if anything weird will come up and unfortunately it did. Do I need to worry about this? The errors I find suspicious are marked bold. I also installed CrystalDiskInfo and obtained these results: Thank you. Regards, Tom
Tom, I don't think you have any disk issues. What ChkDsk found can be normal along the way... some unused INDEX entries and allocated disk space not in use are not critical in any way... just looks like an old System that hasn't been looked at in quite a while The error looks like it was caused by an nVidia graphics driver gone funny (maybe 1-time). Believe it or not, graphics hardware drivers are some of the greatest causes of BSODs on users Systems. If it was only a 1-time thing, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If it happens more often, I'd look for a driver update. The SSD looks fine...
Wonderful! Thanks. That's a big relief to me. I really thought my disk was in deep trouble, so to speak.
