Oh, I understand now. Windows can help you do that; no need for a separate program. Look under Customize Desktop Icons and you'll read how to replace the icons you don't like, with the ones you downloaded.

    Doesn't matter.

You can still change any icons to whatever preferred icon that you desire. It's also useful under Folder Options to make many of those changes too.

iPhile can save MULTIPLE icon set ups as many as you choose. If a distortion such as a crash happens to throw off your choice icons, it's as simple as Open your saved config and click APPLY to return them again.

    It's a snap!

Does it load a process or service, or does it just do it`s job and exit ?

it just do it`s job and exit.
and you can customize which file types you want in any categories.
i.e. if you dont see mkv format in media category you can add that.

    Thanks for sharing that info.

I just tried "IconTweaker", and I didn't see a way to add custom filetypes.

    Your suggestion sounds perfect.
It doesn't linger as a process.
And customizations to our hearts content! :D

I just went to the Greenfish site following the info in this thread and looking to see what it was about.
When the page opened, I also got an opaque rectangle on the bottom right of my screen with links to 'docler video', chat and some other stuff.
I thought it was part of the Greenfish site so I clicked on the video link and was taken to a site in a language I didn't recognize so I closed my browser right away.
When I closed FF Avira and PC Tools Firewall notified me of something trying to gain access to my pc.
Whatever it was makes no difference. I was able to block it and scans have shown that I'm clean.
What just happened to me might well have been an unusual occurrence or it could be something else.
Just thought I'd post a warning.
