Does FirstDefense-ISR use CDP backup system?
I'm searching for a CDP backup system, but most are for enterprises only.
I want to replace or complement my traditional backup (file-level) system.

I don't think so. FDISR creates and updates archives with the extension "ARX". That's it.
I use FDISR as second backup, but it's not the same as Image Backup.
FDISR updates existing archives very fast, creates archives is a bit slower, but still faster than creating new snapshots.

No fd-isr does not automatically update data, it has to be done manually. The only file backup system like that which comes to mind is suresync or peersync. I believe they're available in workstation versions.

    Greetings Mark,

No, we do not use the CDP engine to perform our snapshot or archive creations. We have created our own copy engine and hopefully perfected it over the years. The strengths of ISR are in the immediate software protection of the operating system and applications. As for your data, I would recommend looking at our data anchoring feature, or placing data on another partition.

If you are looking for a good professional data sync product, Software Pursuits SureSync and Peer Software PeerSync are wonderful and powerful products. If you are looking for more of a lightweight sync product, I have always liked SecondCopy.

ErikAlbert - I was entertained with the "Incredibly Massive Poster" pre-computed sub-title below your name. I did not know they went that high. I wonder if they have a higher one?

I wasn't even aware of this sub-title. I wonder when that happened. Must be Christmas present of Wilders. :D

Yes, it's a label entitled "Blabber Mouth" but it hasn't yet been attained by anyone to my knowledge. ;) :D
