Been using this software for a while now and i must say i`m really happy with it.
Used to go with Nero 7 before but changed to this simply because i didn`t need all the extra stuff that comes packed with Nero.

I can highly recommend using CDBurnerXP:thumb:

Does anyone know if "Nero" and "CDBurnerXP" are compatible on the same partition?

I've had them both on the same PC before. They both ran ok. (CDBurnerXP needs .NET Framework 2.0 or higher to run.)

2 things though... I wouldn't install CDBurnerXP with the all user burning rights add-on (shouldn't need it anyway for Admin accounts) and don't run them both at the same time.

Good advice. Im a bit bummed about Nero. A nice, lightweight burning program worth the 30, 40 or even 50 bucks. I think I paid for it twice over the past years. However as the last few years goes by it seems to be hundreds of megs now and almost a hundred bucks. I still use an old version myself, but fail to see why Nero could not keep it lean and mean. Like many, I need to do a handful of tasks and do not need wizards and bloat. Oh well... :(

ImgBurn (free) and Ashampoo (cheap) are 2 good alternatives you could give a go and like. Both have their own uses on my pc.
