Sure it's possible and has always been. With these newer versions all you have to do is download the zipped version from there website: https://download.ccleaner.com/portable/ccsetup601.zip and then just move the executable file out of the x64 folder and you're all set. Of course, you don't have any of their other services which I don't want anyway.

FWIW, they don't provide this link on their website, but it does exist as you can see.

Yes they don't provide portable link since v6.00.9727 (12 May 2022) came out, in fact I tried editing the link just like you did during 4 or 5 days in a row after release but it didn't work. Glad it worked again by editing it.

    Edit
Didn't notice this note before from @anon post above:
That's why they haven't updated the portable download link.

Thanks, stapp. Used the regular installer and found I had to write two more block rules for outbound ccleaner exe/s, making a total of five altogether now. Hmmm. :cautious:

:eek: i'm appalled at the number of wilders members who still use this bloatware on their rigs. :ninja:
p.s.: i'm aware that most of you guys just use the portable exe but still. :cautious:

There was a problem with portable builds but it seems to have been fixed now and the portable build is now on the builds page again (it had been taken off until they fixed it)

    Yes thanks @stapp
FYI latest portable is working well on all the machines in the house. I untick all system, windows & advanced stuff (except for recycle bin & clipboard). Just use it for cookies, browsers and some apps. No registry stuff either.

I rarely use any cleaners like this, but every now and then, I fire up CCleaner Portable and run the Registry cleaner to see what remnants are left behind.
A few days ago, I opened CCleaner v6.04.10044 and ran the Registry cleaner. So far, so good.

The following morning, I noticed a brief flash on my screen.
I thought that was odd. I had a quick look at things in the Task Manager etc, but didn't find anything unusual.

The next morning, the same thing happened again.
    This time, I found it.
CCleaner had planted a couple of scheduled tasks, including this one that is set to run every day. There were also a number of Registry entries that I manually removed.

@Hadron Things just like that snuck in on a computer is exactly why mine will never see the likes of apps as that one.
Another reason HiBit Uninstaller is now and for about a year now the Go-To registry cleaner/junk files combo cleaner. Never once had any issues sweeping the registry with it and besides if there was something amiss HiBit makes you a registry backup on every run as a safety measure. It finds plenty of excess and is well crafted IMO.

And they absolutely DO NOT slip in what you don't need or want which they call supporting tasks etc.

Of interest especially to you, I been backing up massively over the course of weeks almost daily with Drive Snapshot (others too) and the references to SNAPSHOD.SYS showed in the TEMP DIR and it doesn't hurt to let it sweep it out (because DS will reload it's driver next run anyway of course) but it was simple as i unchecked those 2 instances just to remind me that HiBit Uninstaller truly finds it all.

As I said, EASTER, I rarely use these kind of cleaning apps, but the occasional run of CCleaner Portable would identify stuff that I'd rather not leave there.
My definition of portable is not what CCleaner Portable is anymore. Not when you have to manually clean the Registry and Task Scheduler afterwards.
Having to manually clean up after using a portable cleaning app seems a little bit ironic to me.

Anyhow, I might have a look at HiBit Uninstaller Portable for my very occasional registry scan.

I'm having a look at HiBit Uninstaller now.
It looks good. Plenty of tools.

I was gonna post this in the "HiBit Uninstaller" thread, but there isn't one.

Edit: This might be handy enough to install instead of running as portable.
