    Options > Privacy:
    - Allow usage data to be shared with 3rd parties for analytics purposes
    - Show offers for our other products
    - Help improve our other apps by sending usage data to CCleaner
    -------

    Default: All Enabled...... ;)

Options and functions like that shouldn't even be in a cleaning program. Yet, the bloat continues.

I don't see the third option "Help improve our other apps...." and i can't even untick the first two options

unless there is a light version without these options then CCleaner is officially dead for me

    Good job Avast

Don't know why users are still using CCleaner 5 since Avast took over. Look for better
    alternatives.

It seems to be "by design".
Users of the free version can't untick them (2 options can be seen), but users of the Professional version are able to untick them (3 options are available)

I totally agree with you. I think the price for the free version (Allow usage data to be shared with 3rd parties) is too high.
There are so many alternatives out there.

I use the Pro and I had no idea re the differences with the free version which already explained from mood (#957).

I also blocked all Piriform products from accessing net.
I would not be surprised if they've added those options just to be GDPR compliant. They could share our data even in previous versions...

    CCleaner update introduces Privacy options
The most recent version of CCleaner, a popular temporary file cleaning software for Windows, includes a new Privacy page that aims to give users of the application control over the program's data collection and integration of offers.

Comment from one of the Avast staff on their forum:

No reason to blame Avast, this was the decision of CCleaner team because of GDPR, but it should be visible for users to change it (it's same as in Avast). We will ask them to change it.

And now for something completely OT, is it just my computer or does this happen to everyone, everytime I go to Wilders in the past few days a popup appears on the bottom of the screen regarding cookies??

It's not true that new privacy options can be disabled in free version. They are ticked on "for ever" and GDPR is only fake explanation...how many of yours got some info from others security vendors about changes of privacy policy according to such new law?

According to some posts on their forum, this data collection is not regulated by GDPR, since (as they claim) they don't collect any personal data.

Who usually uses a SUA account, remember to repeat the operation for the Admin account by running CCleaner as an Administrator.
