@stapp I feel absolutely terrible at the moment about that. I sincerely apologize. I should not have made assumptions. Typically I am pretty good about that and say in general "guys/gals" kind of things in many of my posts. However, big mistake here on my part. Sorry. I hope you have a wonderful day. :thumb:

Now lets get back to CCleaner erasing Mozilla and Thunderbird profiles.

    Why?
Because of this new version? I had no issues on Chrome's profiles.

Not Chrome, but PaleMoon was affected.
I have used .6104 some hours ago and it has modified the file prefs.js in the profile-folder and has changed: "browser.download.lastDir"
After starting of the browser a much smaller prefs.ini can be seen and the config is "borked".

But Palemoon has created the file invalidprefs.js, so i had a "backup" and i only needed to change "browser.download.lastDir" to a correct value and i copied the modified file to prefs.js.
    Now all is fine.

Btw.: "Firefox - Last Download Location" seems to removed now (v.6105)

Download.com link still not updated, for those who update from CCleaner.

It's times like this that I am glad that I wait for the Slim version before updating! :)

Indeed - also for Thunderbird, which also had issues.

Maybe Piriform hired some Microsoft or Symantec engineers, or maybe Malwarebytes engineers looking for a new job. :p

I probably too. I was lucky enough avoiding any troubles with CCleaner since the very first day of usage years ago and naturally I don't want to change it. Yeah, I have had troubles once but thanks to Enhancer (winapp2).

Too many members to mention them all who keep us informed about CCleaner updates and issues (in case they happen). So thanks all :thumb:

How long the slim builds are behind the full installers?

Hmm, that's pretty long. I probably will stick with (install) the full builds deferred by a few days as a precaution that everything's OK.
