You're welcome :) CCleaner forms an inseparable part of my installed software already for a long time.

Does CCEnhancer use this same file as its source?

You folks, using CCenhancer, be careful what you have enabled to clean. It's a very good addition but one needs to know how to use it properly otherwise you can easily break your machine. Keep in mind, less is more. ;-)

"Many entries from Winapp2.ini have been included in the official builds of CCleaner over time."

Yes, and many entries has been removed/changed/added in winapp2.ini over time. This file gets changes asap and is a community based project, so whenever someone finds something new or changed it will get merged. As said earlier, some functions should be used with caution. In most (if not all cases) you get a warning dialog anyway if it's probably known as problematic when you check a specific optional cleaning option.

Yes, I have taken cognisance of those, and generally erred on the side of caution, and never had an issue.

Unfortunately Robin that page suggests you can also use CCleaner to do it.

Not a good idea at the moment.

On the Windows tab/advanced/ there's an option called "Old Windows Installation". I believe the option doesn't appear if an old installation is not detected ( ? )

What's interesting is I deleted the old installation using Windows Disk Cleanup, but since it left the Windows.old folder it is still showing up in Ccleaner

Usually I'm doing it backwards. CCleaner the first then Windows Cleanup. Obviously not with CU.

Are you aware of any reason to not manually delete the Windows.old folder after using Disk Cleanup to remove the previous Windows build?

I have never deleted that folder. It not not that big of a file for me since I don't save any kind of movies or music, I have way more then I can use and mine is only a 500 gig. Not an SSD. I only run CC in default mode. That's why I didn't get hosed.

No as far as I know. I always delete the folder using whatever method (CC, Win cleanup or manually).
