I discovered I still had leftovers from QuickTime and I too was eyeing System Ninja but I decided against it, I am afraid of getting FPs and from what I hear there is a lack of selection boxes.

Yes, you are right it does not have selection boxes but you can remove what you want and keep what you are not so sure about. It is not a substitute for Ccleaner but can be used after program removals to make sure if there is something left behind by Ccleaner.

I don't understand why recently there's been a delay with releasing the SLIM version?

Up until the past few releases, ALL of the versions were released at the same time. Now the slim version is usually several days behind. Pointless and stupid.

the slim version is a courtesy and shuld be viewed as so. they dont have to release any slim version at all so people need to calm down and stop acting so entitled.

They've been releasing the slim version for as long as I can remember along with the other download builds they offer. It's not a "courtesy"....just an alternative to their bundled crap that nobody needs/wants.

No slim is not a courtesy but a way to shut up techy types on forums. They feel less entitled to complain about bundle nonsense if they them self can get a slim version :) They don't bundle to annoy people but to make money. I have no idea why they don't simply skip slim version and put a price tag on a crapfree version, with perhaps a few extras as to settle the new wave of complaints - could be access to closed forum with goodies if nothing else comes up. 10$ not 19.95$ or 9.95$ would be fine for 9 out of 10 - get it over with :) I don't like these questionable methods like somehow finding it a huuuge task to release slim with full. BS, they do that to get more hits on full. Would much rather prefer to pay up. With a fixed no nonsense low price not warranting piracy that much I think they will make a small fortune.

I used it to clean the "junk" -- and it disrupted Chrome´s auto-update function. I had to undo the changes.

I was wondering,CCleaner messed up my login/pasword in Thunderbird o_O

Everytime run CC then open Thunderbird,it asked me login/password again while I have already stored it with master password.

do you have this experience ?
    thanks

That "bundled crap" pays for your free software. Simply don't install it.

I have been using Ccleaner for years and sending a yearly contribution.
I think Ccleaner is getting to big for their britches. When they make their web
site so that you really have to watch what you are doing or you get something
you don't want. Also the latest version takes forever when running K-Meleon
    at startup.
I am just a hairs breath away from ditching Ccleaner and using "Sweepi".
