Cant't register downloaded Acronis TI 9

    Downloaded trial version of Acronis True Image 9.0 from http://www.acronis.com/. Completed registration form and clicked 'Next' tab.
    Get this error: 'Failed to register the product. Please try again later'. I created an account at Acronis.com but this did not help. Had the same problem when I tried to download and register ATI ver. 8 last year. Therefore did not get to use the software. Seeking your help.

    I installed Acronis TI using the desktop download which did not require registration before installation. Was asked to register product after installation.

    Today January 8, 2006,
    I also Downloaded trial version of Acronis True Image 9.0 from http://www.acronis.com/. During the installation, they ask me to register, completed registration form and clicked 'Next' tab.
    Get this error: 'Failed to register the product. Please try again later'. I created an account at Acronis.com but this did not help.

    I think if Acronis cannot put a trial version, we can install without problem, they need may be to do something else.

    Most people can install the trial version without any problem, but some report the 'failed to register' etc which seems to be a firewall or proxy server issue.

    Now that you have posted your message, Acronis Support will probably send you a PM with a download which should install without registration.:cool:

    Anyone with this "Failed to Register" problem should first of all try temporarily disabling their firewall during the installation. I have found that this often allows the registration to proceed without further issues.:cool:
