Hi. I'm brand new here and hope I'm in the right spot for help. :doubt:

I run all of the following at different times:
    SpySweeper
    SpyBot S&D
    Pest Patrol
    BPS Spyware Remover
    A2
    SpyBlaster
    SpyDoctor
    Ad-Aware SE

I run BPS Spyware Remover and Ad-Aware on startup. BPS always finds the following:

    Spy Registry Key
    Remacc.surveil
    Type .zlg\

    I delete it when found.

None of the other programs find this.

Next time I boot the PC and run BPS - it finds it again. Any idea why it keeps reappearing and what I can do to get rid of it? Thanks.

    Hi,

I have exactly the same problem, apparently related to Remacc.surveil. Spybot will not detect it, only Malware Remover will. I run regedit and remove the .zlg entry, but it reappears later (ie after reboot).

I have Spybot constantly running in the background and now added the 14-day trial version of SpySweeper but the problem is still there. SpySweeper will not detect anything either.

Running Norton Antivirus, McAfee VirusScan, or even PestPatrol Online Free Scan will not detect Remacc.surveil either.

Is this a serious threat? Should I be concerned?

    Many thanks in advance :)

    Goncal

I would say so! This one logs all activity on your pc and logs it so the person controlling the trojan can view it later. This would be a bad thing if you do any online banking etc.
