When I try to empty my recycle bin on my external drive (F) I am not able to do so. I receive the following message Failures:
Failed: F:\RECYCLED\Df1.ZIP (The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.)
Failed: F:\RECYCLED\Df3.tib (The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.)

    Please help.

Have you run checkdisk on the drive?

Thank you for your replies. I ran disc check as you suggested. I then right clicked on my recycle bin and ran one of my options Erase Recycle Bin (1- pass First-last 2k) and the problem seems to have been fixed. Thank you.

Good thing he probably isn't running 7 - I've experienced the chkdsk bug and while is not catastrophic, it's annoying when you want to fix corruption.

Do you have a link to an article about that? I didn't know about a checkdisk bug in Win7.
