I've been using DD 10's Os Selector for a month to boot between two active XP pro partitions. Yesterday, after post, nothing happened, just polling, no booting and no loading of the Osselector software. It will work booting from the CD. I've tried reloading the mbr (using Acronis Image) and reloading the DD software to no avail. Any ideas where should check next?

What do you mean by just polling, no booting? Do you mean the "Processing..." screen shown before the OSS menu?

I assume the computer booted correctly into one of your XP installations after your restored the MBR since you tried reinstalling the DD software.

Did you try uninstalling OSS and reinstalling it or just DD?

Where is OSS installed? On one of the XP partitions or on a non-OS partition?

Did you try installing OSS to a different partition?

Have you run a chkdsk /f on your partitions to check for any errors?

Thanks MUd crab - I think my registry cleaner did something nasty to the mbr. I did end up running chkdsk and bootcfg to rebuild the boot record and that seemed to do it.
