cannot uninstall .228

    Hey Joe. The Beta .228 wont start up and i can not run the uninstall tool... What should i do?

    Ok this is strange.
    I used the removal tool and restarted the computer.
    After that Prevx is still there.
    I can start up the GUI but protection is disabled. If i try to enable it nothing happens but the GUI closes.

    I never had problems with the .228 till the time change yesterday. :shifty:

    Ok. it worked in save mode. :p

    I will now try the latest beta.

    5.3 runs great.

    What was the problem?

    Sorry for not jumping in earlier but you seem to have had a good conversation so far :D We had a bug updating with build 3.0.5.2 which may have been the culprit for you if it jumped in before you went to 3.0.5.3 - it should be stable now, however :)

    ^^ :D indeed.
    It often helps to speak to yourself... :D

    Everything is fine now. I just wondered if that bug has something to do with the timezone change.?.
    Cause that was the only thing which changed here.

    Indeed there are some areas in the updater which are affected by time (as is the scan scheduler). I'll look into what could potentially break with a timezone change :)
