I'm trying to restore a True Image file to my pentium machine with SATA hard drive. The .tib file is on an external 200 Gb Seagate drive in a USB enclosure. I can boot the machine via my Acronis boot CD, and can see and select the .tib file on my external, USB drive. However, after selecting the .tib file, the restore "wizard" freezes at the "commit pending operations" screen. I've tried restoring the file a dozen times, or so, and always get the same result.

    Any ideas?

    (I'd sure appreciate them!).

    Regards,

    Andrew

Have you tried the standard F11 -> "acpi=off noapic" options on the Boot CD?

Yes, but when I click "proceed" the "commit pending operations" screen comes up, frozen.

    Hi, chuck

Looks Ti like it is not locking the drive for some reason,

Try it again and when you press proceed move the mouse around the screen.

Or if that will not unfreeze it, cancel it, restart and try it again. [mouse wiggle]

    Take Care,
    TheQuest
