Cannot download to cd

    i have always downloaded to a cd, but now all of a sudden i get the message
    you do not have permission to save to this directory.
    see the administrator to obtain permission
    i am the administrator! any help welcome, thank you

    just curious but did you check the option for recording. check in box to enable
    recording to this drive.? if not right click my computer and select open..then select your cd drive and right click and select properties...then select the recording tab ensure box is checked....Hope this was helpful. if not keep us posted.

    and if thats not it, there is an option to disable CD burning in gpedit
    (though I doubt thats the issue)

    start > run > gpedit.msc > Local Computer Policy\User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Explorer
    DClick Remove CD Burning Features set to not configured or disabled

    Thank you both for our help, Ravin was right, i don't know how box became unchecked, but what you said worked, once again, thank you
