make sure that you have the app disabled or turned off. And then try to remove it.

like bigc said now that you got it to not run on start now try to remove it. either via add/remove or manually find the prg folder and right click and select delete.

If it has an icon in the task bar right click it and then click exit or quit whatever they have that will close it. then delete program as scott lang stated.

you didnt see it in add/remove? and you did not see the prg folder? try using search. type in the name and it will find anything related to it. make sure its searchin in system folders hidden folders and subfolders. if this dont work then click my computer/tools/folderoptions/view and where it says show hidden files check that box and uncheck the 2 right below that. apply then run the search again

No luck in safe mode either. Full message is Error 70 permission denied in remove.OK button_click. If that helps. Lang i found everything just cant remove it. What may have confused you was I said there was no icon in task bar that I could exit from.

hmmm, i dont understand why you cant delete the entire folder. especially if the prgs not running naymore. strange, whatdya think bigc? any thing else he could try? so you did try the making it show all the stuff thing and search for it using the search in all files and folders? one other way might possibly be to run msconfig in the run command and set it to run only , i dont remember for sure, i think it was system services and startup files. then boot up and try the search. i did this once but cant remember for sure which two selections to run. i had it wrote down but someone has moved my stuff. ill look and see if i can find it.

use the control/alt/delete and go to the windows task manager and stop the process from running and then remove it.

ok.i found it. if you have to try the msconfig thing do selective start and uncheck the boxes below it except for load system services and original boot ini. reboot then try the search if bigc's idea dont work.

one last thing io can think of goes back to manually deleting. go into the folder and start deleting stuff one by one till you get to the point where nothing else is either left or wont delete. reboot then go back to that folder and try to delete the folder /w whatevers left in it.

The trouble with indiscriminate deleting things in a folder is that you can get to a point where you could still have a driver loaded and then you have no way of getting rid of it with the rest of the app gone. I hate to admit it but I did just that about six years ago. That was not fun after that trying to get my comp stabilized again.
