I have an actiontec brand one. What do I do to allow it to port foward through the router so I can have a good connection?

What is the model # of your Actiontec? Try looking at this site and scroll down a little and on the left you'll see Actiontec. Pick your model number and it will take you to the next page. Scroll to the bottom and on the right, you will select Utorrent. It should give you directions. I hope this helps.

    Hi cheater.

Before doing the port forwarding (per innerpeace's link), don't forget that you need to disable DHCP and fix your PC's internal (LAN) IP in TCP/IP settings. So you can forward the port to that (your) IP. You need to forward TCP and UDP through the same port for uTorrent to receive remote connections.

If you use a software firewall, you need to open the same TCP/UDP inbound port for uTorrent there as well.

    Cheers,
