I've salvaged 3 HDD's from a failed server (running WIndows server
2003). All were fine immediately before the server failed (no
diagnosed reason for failure yet). The first disk is fine, but the
other two show as "dynamic disk unreadable" in XP (SP2).

I ran Spinrite (v6) level 2 data recovery on both disks. In both cases
it completed within a couple of hours and didn't report any errors.
    Both disks were NTFS.

Both are Maxtor drives - one a Diamondmax Plus 9 200Gb, the other a
    540DX 80Gb.

Is it likely that Recovery Expert would enable me to recover the data from these drives?

    TIA
    Ian

    Hello Ian,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Partition Recovery Software.

Acronis Recovery Expert is intended for recovering lost partitions rahter than single files. The best way to see whether it suits you or not would be to download free trial version of Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0 (which includes Acronis Recovery Expert) from our site and see whether it finds the lost data or not. You won't be able to recover partition with the trial version but you will know exactly if it suits you. In case it does you may purchase the software at our on-line store.

    Thank you.
