    Hi Everyone,

Not sure anyone here can help me, but it's worth a shot.

I recently purchased a standalone copy of TI 11. It is the full program, not an upgrade. I have uninstalled TI 10, and installed TI 11.

Since I'm no longer using TI 10, does anyone know if I can give it to a friend, (a senior on a fixed income), and actually get it registered in his name?

    Thanks, Larry

    depends on your country.

as far as i understand, in the us you're pretty much screwed.

at least in sweden, if you buy it, it's yours. you can resell it or do whatever you please with it (but not copy it obviously).

sell it to him for 1 euro, or something similar, thus transferring your ownership (and licence) to him.

only worry is if acronis thinks it's ok. as i said, depends on where you live and the local laws.

Thanks for the reply Ethernal, even though it wasn't what I was hoping for!

    Anyone else have any input?

Any Acronis moderators have some feedback?

    Thanks again, Larry

I paste from the TI 11 user manual.
How Acronis police that I'm not sure, but I suggest writing to Sales at Acronis, and perhaps with the other persons permission, give them their details as well as yours.

Of course if you'd never registered it in the first place - it all gets muddy.

Thank you for your reply bodgy,

I'm afraid that's the answer I was expecting.

Oh well, guess it's off to Acronis with hat in hand! :D

Ummm, I probably should have found that answer myself, so I'm a little embarrassed.

    But thanks again!

    Hello bornconfuzd,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please submit a request to Acronis Support. Describe your request, and provide the purchase information (a copy of invoice/receipt, order number, etc.). We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.
