I don't suppose any progress has been made for this request?

 

Can you use a browser extension like Super Dark Mode or Dark Background Light Text? I'm using DarkBackground Light Text in Edge Browser per screenshot.

SmallNetBuilder Forums recently updated the forum software (which I believe is the same that is used here?). Their new dark mode is pretty nice!

Would it be possible to introduce that here as well?

 

I use the dark reader extension which looks pretty nice.

 

I always find it preferable having a site that directly supports a dark mode setting, rather than using a dark mode extension. The extensions often have issues displaying some content and end up requiring customized site settings and exclusions.

 

That would be awesome but it is up to the powers that be. Extensions help, but generally speaking are not that great overall.

I only just found Dark Reader and am loving it so far, except on YouTube because:

1. YouTube loads extremely slowly with Dark Reader.
2. YouTube is dark by default for me anyway, so I just disable DR there.

 

It gives my machines too much of a performance hit. I've found Dark Background and Light Text less of a drain on my system resources.

I know you won’t add a proper dark mode, but would it be possible to replace the image with the Wilders banner by one with a transparant background?

I dislike dark mode. Find websites difficult to read. Dark screenshots, as above, look ok in Windows, but on a smaller screen (tablet) are next to impossible.
The only time I use dark mode is late at night reading a Kindle book on a smart phone.
I hope Wilders never forces it on us. Perhaps a choice could exist to make averybody happy.

Close to perfect. Extensions can only change with a know knowledge base of tags or computing - but computing really eats a lot of performance and delay showing pages. I rather would prefer a dark style made with stylus (extension) - but this would mean 1000 lines or more. I know that from another forum - dark is not only background and some basic colors, you can see a lot more glitches.
