Accountability — being held responsible for our actions and our words — keeps us kinder Stop hiding behind safety of our screens January 4, 2020 https://www.nwfdailynews.com/opinion/20200104/wendy-victora-stop-hiding-behind-safety-of-our-screens
It's a fair point. The crux of the matter is that no matter how much the big tech and social media companies (driven by maximizing profit) expound their virtues of connectivity and 'enabling communities', etc. The fact is that the flippant name 'anti-social media' is not flippant at all, it's a truth. People sit on their own in front of screens at home, people sit in front of their phones being 'social' while they are surrounded by actual society, and don't engage with it one iota. A screen is not social interaction, it's a corruption and bastardization of it. </rant>
