    Many thanks to Daveski :thumb: who inadvertently (in one of his usually digressory allusions) upped my Gutenberg experience!

    He mentioned a childhood favorite of mine and Gutenberg has it as plain text or as something called "EPUB". After asking around, I'm all set with Calibre (a 37 MB download from the Ubuntu Software Center but well worth it).

    (FBReader was also mentioned. That's a smaller install but the reviews claim it isn't as polished.)

    The period artwork is really lovely here.

    The icing is that the page display can be tweaked with CSS and that is something I just can't resist.

    Just thought I'd share that :D
