I was trying to update the drivers for my graphics card so as usual i went into control panel and click on display... but it came up with the error message...

    windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe'. ...

so i searched for it and there were a few C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe in prefetch in the WINDOWS file however i don't think these are my files? i think a virus my have destroyed these or moved them as it was fine less then 24 hours ago and i havn't done anything but gaming since then? does any one know where these files may be or anything that might help?

Check for malicious software with reputable and update antivirus software . After that run sfc.exe as shown here
