    Hi.
there's a problem or bug with update module : only if an update is available, automatic and manual updates take 10 or 15 minutes to complete process.
My OS : Win XP Pro SP1.
    Thanks.Bye.:)

I presume a problem with your connection to the akamai network servers or ewido update server which redirects to the akamai network. You may contact your ISP for this issue.

    Regards,
    Vinzenz

Do you use a Firewall? (Except windows xp sp2 firewall which makes no troubles)

I notice "Upstate NY" and am wondering if my tracert result from my neck of the woods is indicative of what you might see also. While I can eventually receive back the big ewido E....I'm assuming my slowness is attributed to what is shown in the tracert results below at this moment in time.

    Hi all, Vinzenz.
When the update begins, it's normal and the download is fast but at the end, it stops and freezes 20 minutes, sometimes 1 hour, but I can click on all tabs.
    What's about (7/0 KB) ?
My firewall is Zone Alarm Pro.

    Thanks.

Sorry to ask but are you using a cracked version of ewido? I've seen this behaviour only with cracked versions so far...

Had to do an update on the website today.Manual update said no update available, and the threats in database was lower than the number on the website at that time.

    Hi.
No.Why, this problem appears only on a cracked version?

Do the same thing, but one time.

    Bye.

    Hi.
I found the problem.I thinked a problem came with my antivirus, Avast free
Edition cause there's a known bug between Resident shield of avast and Zone Alarm.
But before installing Zone Alarm (ZA Pro), i have Kerio firewall and it seems to have some conflicts with ZA : i tried to clean my registry windows (with CCleaner and others) and manualy delete all old entries of Kerio and know, the update module works so fine !! :D :D :D  .
If some users have this problem, maybe try to use this.
    Bye.
