Has anyone else been getting BSOD's when running CCleaner 3.18.1707? Everytime I attempt to run CCleaner to clean my internet browser cache, temp files, etc.. I get a BSOD on my Sony VIAO laptop running W7 X 64. I ran Bluescreen view, and it points to ntoskrnl.exe which belongs to Microsoft as being the cause. It only happens when I run CCleaner. Is anyone having this problem?

No problems here on win 7 X 32.I have never had a single issue with CCleaner and been using it for years, knock on wood. Can you find the files or folder and add it to the exclude list of CCleaner and see if that helps any. From what I get its a critical process for the boot up cycle. Some how I would think CCleaner in running interference with it.

By all means, if you haven't already, uninstall and reinstall the program.
    It may make a difference.
3.18.1707 is not causing a problem for me, fwiw.
I wonder, are you running Chrome beta?
I was a bit surprised to read in the release notes that they added support for Google Chrome 20.0 beta.
I've never seen a program add support for a beta.
Let us know if the BSODs stop. Good luck.

Do you use a language other than English?
And are you closing browser when analyzing/cleaning cache?
(Note: I didn't think it possible to clean with browser open.) :doubt:
