Hi, I'm just brining this up here because I have not been able to find what I was looking for elsewhere.

I use Internet Explorer 7 and Windows XP Home Edition, and am not going to change that.

I understand that there are ways websites can access (a part of) my browser history. (using Javascript, other means).

Do I want to erase my browser history ? No, that's too inconvenient.

What way(s) do exist to keep your browser history (and other related data, such as type of browser) private, without using special anonymizer services, proxy-servers and such ? I don't mind installing a piece of software or tinkering with my computer (but disabling javascript is something that I don't want to do). Btw, I have McAfee Virusscan Plus, I don't know if their security suite or Total Protection can help me with this, but I have no plans to buy McAfee software (only to get rid of it ...)
