Yes, but from what I understood, they added more protection against fingerprinting. I hope others like Vivaldi will follow.

Brave for Android was subsequently updated on 8 April 2020 to version 1.5.131 and this is causing big problems for a lot of users. Are there any Brave for Android users here on Wilders who are experiencing problems?

 

I use Brave on both my tablet and phone and both are running fine,what big problems are users experiencing ?

Just spotted your reply from three weeks ago.

The problem that I and many others on the Brave Community Android forums were seeing was a delay of several minutes between entering Brave and it being usable. I had to wait for up to three minutes for anything to happen. And, sometimes, I would get a message saying that the app was not responding. Several people reported this on Play Store in the app reviews. What disappointed me greatly was the lack of any feedback from Brave on Play Store. And, when I tried to contact them at the email address provided by Brave on Play Store, I got a message saying something on the lines of 'this is an unmanned email address' - even though it was given as the Support email address! It was a fiasco. I was very disappointed indeed as I had been using Brave for at least two years during which time, I'd recommended Brave to others. Sadly, no more.

@jaypeecee I use Brave on Windows and Android without issues. The Brave Community is the best place for info and help. Android version has a bug where sponsored ads show on the homepage after updates. They disappear upon reload. Annoying but no big deal. Brave on desktop works fine for me because I don't use Rewards or Sync - the first of which has loads of issues, and the latter is being re-built from scratch.

I didn't even know they didn't support extensions. But 5 million daily active users is pretty good.

Interesting stuff, so it will become an alternative to tools like Zoom and Skype.
