Well, gimme an "A" for effort and a "C+" for solution(s). :D :D Assumed midnight & left out one minor alternative in my 2nd answer: noon. My cholesterol was always higher than my S.A.T. scores anyway.... :(

    And another easy fun one:

Inside each set of the following words, there are a pair of smaller words. By putting & between them, lo & behold, you'll make a familiar phrase. For example, "Thighbone/Swallowtail" conceals "High & Low."

    1. Skyrocketing/Trolleyman
    2. Thermometer/Apoplexy
    3. Delaware/Bordering
    4. Surprised/Trashiness
    5. Throughout/Stumblebum

    Bonjour tous, ;)

    EXEMPLE:

    Lis - Jane - Tulipe - Rose

Jane n'appartient pas car il est le seul qui n'est pas une fleur

La tulipe également n'appartient pas parce que son la seule qui n'est pas le nom d'une fille

Vous êtes sur vous possédez pour le repos!

    1. Aqua - Noisette - Saule - Cerise

    2. Chat - Épée - Hamster - Chien

    3. Prince - Double - Reine - Roi

Question from post # 211 in english

In this teaser, you have to find the odd ones out in the groups of words. BUT WAIT! Theres a catch. Each group of words has TWO words which do not belong. Can you find them both?

    EXAMPLE:

    Lily - Jane - Tulip - Rose

Jane does not belong as it's the only one which is not a flower

Tulip also does not belong because its the only one which is not a girl's name

You're on you own for the rest!

    1. Aqua - Hazel - Willow - Cherry

    2. Cat - Sword - Hamster - Dog

    3. Prince - Double - Queen - King

    @ *puppy*

I was sitting there looking at the answers given by you dog, and I am thinking, "No damn way on earth he got nearly all those right, how o_O? ~scratches head~"

Then it hit me. Google is your friend....

    VERY GOOD :D :D :D

Ironbark stumps: Ironbark is a very very tough timber here and used in fencing posts and railway sleepers = ironbark posts for fencing of plain/barbed wire.

Bludger/bludging: Useless/can't work inan iron lung/time waster/sponge off of/on the bum/work for the 'dole' [does not want to work and relies only on cheating the social security payment plan, with work being a sarcastic comment, lol]

This was obvious but 'Liquid Lunch': Have nothing but grog/booze/piss/beer/alcohol for lunch.

Billy Lids [rhyming slang]: Kids/children/offspring :)

Chunder: Vomit / Spew / Throw Up / Laugh at the Grass / Laugh at the Porcelain [toilet bowl] / Technicolor Yawn / Have a Spit / Have a Chuck / etc. etc. lol

Thunder: Long and Loudly of course.......

Orange and Metho [used by derelicts/bums/alcoholics in desperate need of a drink] Orange Juice mixed with Methalayted Spirits to cut the bitter taste. Metho is pure alcohol used as a cleaner/fuel for spirit stoves/lamps and the Govt mixes some chemical in to "stop" people from drinking it.

    Nice job..

But I admit I just woke up and have no idea on yours yet, give me time to absorb them.

    Cheers, TAS
