A ship was sailing dangerously close to rocks in the water. To save their ship, they threw out the anchor, but since it was not tied down, it sank to the bottom. In one last desperate attempt to save the ship, they threw over a 500lb steel ball. Much to everyone's amazement, the ball floated, then the ship crashed. How is it possible that the ball floated?

The Ball was hollow filled with air & the amount of water it displaced in relation to it's weight gave it bouyancy
