Botcoin: Bitcoin Mining by Botnet

Not the only thing happening related to Bitcoin. Here is my ISPs explanation of an internet outage a few months ago:

"The problem was not down circuits out to the world nor any infrastructure problem either within our network or our connectivity to the Internet out of our area. Rather, our network suffered a Distributed Denial of Service attack (DDOS). This attack saturated our 3 Internet connections to the world resulting in slow to no connectivity to the Internet. Indications are that this attack was related to ongoing organized attacks targeting Bitcoin servers around the Internet with the probable attempt at manipulating the market price of Bitcoin."
