Since you asked, I'd get the Special TeraByte Bundle.

    https://www.terabyteunlimited.com/

The purchase price will cover you for about 8 years. That's the average interval between major upgrades. The software is updated about 6 times each year.

If I were y'all I'd just throw my wallet @ Terabyte. I mean, that's what Macrium wants you to do, and Terabyte's IFW is better and more powerful.

In my computer, the child processes are identical to yours in amount (7) and names. But I seen other peoples pictures that include the same processes as well as other processes. In my laptop, the Memory consumption is similar to yours but in some of the screens I seen, Memory is a lot worst. It appears that different programs use this processes for I don't know what so probably, the more garbage you have installed in your computer, the greater the amount of memory this process will use as more programs will use the process.

This thing annoys the hell out of me. On the surface it doesn't seem to be using a lot of Ram but the total amount of memory the system is using is more than what I am used to seeing as I do the activities that I normally do with the computer. It reminds me of antiviruses and security programs. I haven't used AV since 2010, but I remember, if X AV appeared as using 300 MB in task manager, the impact in the whole system was more like ....700MB. So, once you uninstalled the AV, you saved 700MB and not 300MB. I feel is probably about the same with this set of processes.

I'd love to get rid of this somehow. I can end the process in task manager but when I go back and check it, it's running again, even without a restart. It only uses 20mb of RAM but I don't have a lot to spare. I've used all the registry fixes I could find to disable it. It's gone from my taskbar options now but still runs in the background. The only thing I've heard about that will definitely kill it is uninstalling Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime; but that's probably not a good idea, even if you could find a way to do it.

The program - O&O Shut up, may work.

WV2 one can do without, depending on what you do on your pc. Personaly i had no problems without it, before, when i uninstalled it.

Microsoft seemingly makes deleting 8.63GB impossible after Windows 11 24H2 update

The fact that disc cleanup and componentstore suggest to clean it, makes it obvious that it is a bug, if anything, it should be hidden and indeed 24H2 has grown recently, my C used to have 20GB, now it is 28GB.

Remember when Windows 95 used 50 MB of disk space, and Windows 98 used 200 MB? You have to wonder how inefficient the current versions are.

Yes, like windows apps is a category by itself, for once MS just refuses to create a simple shortcut for apps, so admins would not have to recreate firewall rules with an each update.
But the main problem is that apps can not be removed, they can be uninstalled, but files are kept forever, like Photos, it takes 800MB, needlessly increasing backup's size and time.

"However, this is simply speculation, and it is possible that the issue is indeed a bug that needs to be fixed. After all, the company had already confirmed a CCU-related problem that leads to the "Operation is not supported” error message. "

You should be able to completely uninstall and remove a provisioned app.
    See: https://www.tenforums.com/software-...ation.html?s=83c9dbde0b4c081d0330569d5e18180a

Most apps I deleted that way are indeed gone from `Program Files\WindowsApps`; checked via a Linux Live system (size reduced to 124.6 MiB :)):

I've had it fail 2 out of 2 on unsupported hardware but no issues on supported hardware.

If you are experiencing an error when trying to install Windows 11, version 24H2, it could be due to an incompatibility issue with Easy Anti-Cheat. This issue only affects devices with Intel's Alder Lake+ processors and vPro platform, and most devices experiencing it use Easy Anti-Cheat drivers released before April 2024.

To protect your update experience, Microsoft has put a compatibility hold on devices with incompatible Easy Anti-Cheat drivers. This means that these devices will not be offered the option to install Windows 11, version 24H2 through the Windows Update release channel. Microsoft is working with Easy Anti-Cheat on an incompatibility issue between Window 11, version 24H2 and the Easy Anti-Cheat application. This software is automatically installed with some games as part of security and cheat-prevention measures used in multiplayer online PC games. Only devices with Intel’s Alder Lake+ processors and vPro platform are affected. In rare cases, when users open or play certain games, this issue causes affected devices to stop responding and to show a blue screen with the error “MEMORY_MANAGEMENT”. Most devices experiencing this issue use Easy Anti-Cheat drivers released before April 2024.

"To safeguard your update experience, we have applied a compatibility hold on devices running the incompatible Easy Anti-Cheat drivers. These devices will not be offered to install Windows 11, version 24H2 via the Windows Update release channel. IT administrators using Windows Update for Business reports can check this issue using its safeguard ID: 52325539.

If you are trying to install Windows 11, version 24H2 through the media creation tool and your device has incompatible drivers, you will receive a pop-up message alerting that your device is not ready for this new version of Windows.

Important: We recommend that you do not attempt to manually update to version 24H2 using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant or the media creation tool until this issue has been resolved.

Resolution: Updating your games might help address this issue, depending on whether a compatible version of Easy Anti-Cheat is also included in the game’s update."

I had no issues upgrading with CPUs of 2, 4, 9 and 12 generation. I used Rufus with 6 ticks. Internet connected.

The first two computers were MBR systems.

I've had that corrupt 2 PCs on the reboot during the install. Fortunately I had backups. I highly recommend Rufus over this.
