Is deleting the leftovers something you are doing, or is this happening automagically?

It's my doing. These are backup files that will reverse updates if there are issues. I'm not sure but MS might delete them automatically after a while. The reason I do it straight away is that I backup my system every other day therefore 3 GB is not insignificant.

I also installed updates for Win10 21H2 and Office 2019 and no problems so far.
Using disk cleanup I removed 3 GB of old Windows update files + 2.5 Gb of Device driver packages.

Hmm. When I installed a spare drive to replace a corrupted nvm-e, Windows 11 showed up immediately in Windows Update. I then replaced the spare with another 980 Pro, installed Windows 10 and to my chagrin saw that I had a truncated Recovery partition (only 50 MB), likely due to my having yanked the ISO USB out a little too early. Even though 10 ran fantastically, I couldn't enable Secure Boot in BIOS, plus I was getting error messages related to the TPM in Event Viewer.

OK, so I re-formatted the 980 Pro again, and this time it was a good installation. Secure Boot was easily enabled and my TPM chip was error-free. But now, there's no Windows 11 in the Update queue since two days. I went to the "check requirements" page and there was this:

Did the PC Health checkup and everything's good now--secure boot, TPM and all the hardware. But no Windows 11. I know I can do the ISO and the Upgrade Assistant, plus all other important cumulative updates, msrt, definitions have come thru that pipeline. I don't want to install 11, I just want to know what the deal is. Anyone else faced with the same?

    :doubt:

Well, if anyone ends up feeling desolate and bereft after a clean installation because Microsoft has seemingly abandoned you, maybe you need to be patient for like an entire week (or more).

OK, I'm mollified now. :) No. Windows 11 can take a hike, just wanted the invite, that's all.

Just got KB 5011543 (optional update preview) that appears to have a Servicing Stack update applied with it as there were 2 installations (thanks for the info from before, stapp). Anyone else? Windows 10 v. 19044.1586, or rather .1620 now. Some cleanup to do now.

I swear, it's like Pavlov's dog with these updates---just automatic click-n-wait, without knowing what's happening. If anyone's interested:
