    I can understand that.
But stating that it is a 'Microsoft slang' is crossing the line.

As Woody says, his "opinions are more than a little controversial at times." :)

This is a bit dangerous IMO.
I have noticed that he is often cited, here and elsewhere.

If you have an 'opinon' you have to support that with at least a bit of proof.

So we should trust his opinion because he's... 'been around the block'.
    Ok. Got that.

    Cheers

I'm not sure if it's defined that opinions need proof. People have all kind of (stupid) opinions without proper substantiation. :)
But if one incorporates one's opinion in news analysis articles, I think proper support for such opinions is desired, if not required.
To me, Woody Leonhard's articles are one source among others. I'm not so much interested in his opinions. But I do value his fact-finding. Together with other news articles and analysis and opinions it helps me to get the picture.

Of course, and this is absolutely valid. But not everything in life is a matter of opinion.
There are also facts, especially when computational systems are involved.
Besides, this is easy targeting. When you take into account how many systems depend on Windows Update, there will always be issues.
Statistically, his examples amount to 0.
I will keep that in mind.

No, that would be called a fact. An opinion does not have to be supported by anything. This very site is one place where you can experience a lot of them. :D

Sorry, but I had to. I work with people that are all of the time telling me I need to prove my opinion, and I have no words for them because they do not understand how that works. I wasn't picking on you as much as making the point. :)

So, does anyone else get their USB3 drivers deleted every time there is a feature update for Windows 10? It gets maddening when I copy files from one drive to another and it copies at 12 Mbps instead of the 158 I get when it's working correctly.

I know exactly what you mean.
You had every right to pick on me, I put the 2 in the same sentence.

Opinions and facts always need to stand apart.

As the Rollups are cumulative, each contains the content of the previous one, and each Rollup replaces the previous one.
So, yes, the November Rollup is expected to replace the October Rollup. It would be very strange if it didn't.

I can understand some people not liking AskWoody. But what makes Ghacks garbage? IMHO, I think Ghacks is a pretty decent blog. I mean, it's far from being the best tech blog on the web. But it's a far less controversial site than Askwoody.

The site also says this whenyou want to download one:
If they incorporate them all into the newest version (and make that work) is there really an issue with it? I never needed one. I assume they are little bugfixes. Makes sense to me to give them everyone automatically.

This is not amusing to me at all, spreading fud is a seroius offence.
He's a laughing stock - a reputable security forum should be able to recognize this level of incompetence instantly.

    (ditto above)

    Windows 10 1803 x64

I clicked on 'check' (I know, I'm a 'seeker') and these were offered -

KB4467702 - Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (sorry, only this official link is available atm)
    KB890830 - Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - November 2018
KB4467694 - Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems

    Still no 1809.
