I'm about to buy the downloadable version 9 upgrade and have version 8 on CD, which is also used as bootable media. Can I still use this with v9, or will I need to create new bootable media. The program cd's always seem more reliable than those burned on your machine.

    Hello ventanas,

Well, yes you could but it wouldn't have the extra functionality of a bootable rescue CD created by TI 9. Just keep your bootable TI 8 disk handy until you are happy that TI 9 does what you want it to. If it all goes pearshaped you could then, if need be, use the TI 8 disk to restore any images you may have created with TI 9.

    Regards

Thank you Menorcaman, I thought that would be the case. Ok for a straight forward image, but not for the extra functionality in v9

    Thanks again.
