Boot cd error

    I'm testing the demo version of true image and when i was testing the boot cd on my laptop, it came up whit the following error:

    Unable to handle kernel paging at virtual address ffffff00

    Kernel panic: Attempted to kill the idle task!

    In idle task- not syncing
    no cont in shutdown!

    There are 2 threads regarding this issue, but there was never an anwer. Can anyone help me out?

    Hi, Garenor

    Are you using USB Modem, Printer or scanner and are any them on and pluged in.

    If yes to any, unplug them or turn them off, and try again and see how you go.

    No, i do not use any usb devices on that laptop. I do use a wireless network pcmcia card, but also with that card unplugged, the problem remains.
