Quick question for anyone with the answer. I'm currently testing the trial of ESET Smart Security, and am liking it quite a bit, but something comes to mind, it's about the built in firewall. It seems I couldn't find the setting where the firewall will automatically block all ports and programs that haven't been authorized or that are still pending. Is this feature automatic or not supported?

Try switching to policy-based (admin) mode and enabling the following rules while disabling all the others (as necessary):
1, block all unknown inbound traffic
2, block all unknown outbound traffic

This will make the firewall deny any communication for which a rule has not been created.

If you want to allow a specific program to go to the Internet, simply create a new rule for it, it will take precedence over the 2 general blocking rules.
