If there is something on my machines that blackfog.com doesn't like, maybe BFP should be detecting and blocking it.
You can add individual sites to a block list in BlackFog, it would be nice to be able to add complete filter lists, then you would not need uBlock you could just import its lists.

It would be insane @Darren Williams Can you suggest to the development team that we be able to import .txt filters into BlackFog + some DNS privacy please ?! That would be a great advantage!
That would great, maybe have the filter lists show up in settings with an icon and enable box like the pre-installed ones do.
Been looking at this product today, firstly installed in my VM, what I found it installs AdvinstAnalytics C:\USERS\WIN11USER\APPDATA\LOCAL\ADVINSTANALYTICS\ I know companies install this Advanced Installer Analytics feature as part of their installer to keep track of the number of successful installations, but this should be made clear as a lot of other security products mark this a potential unwanted product. As a fan and member of this website we are security conscious so would like some insight.
What's the difference between the following, it it the same product but different number of licences offered? 1. BlackFog Personal 2. BlackFog Privacy 3. BlackFog Family
The Android version is now on Google Play. My old version became unlicensed and the new version (5.1.1.630) won't let me activate it. Currently using a 14 day trail and am in contact with @Darren Williams. There's a new version for Windows coming soon too apparently.

The BlackFog icon in my Notification Area has turned into an orange shield from the previous "trenchcoat spy" icon. Also, when I click on this icon and the Dashboard opens, every item (advertising profiling, geofence, etc.) is at 0 (zero). Are both of these expected?
I'd say, yeah. The icon has changed, so that's normal. My counters get reset pretty often here, so I wouldn't worry about that. It should start counting again now you've updated. Hope that helps.
Apart from the reset Krusty mentions, you also kan try this: Open the UI and choose exfiltration and then dashboard again you will then see the updated numbers in the dashboard.
Thanks @Krusty and @Sir Percy for the info. Good to know that BFP on this machine wasn't being attacked somehow! Clicking on exfiltration and then back to the dashboard did the trick, too.
1) on the exfiltration map, when we reset host & process with ctrl+r green location dots don't 2) on forensics, clean interval doesnt work if i set daily or weekly
1) the green geolocation dots on the exfiltration map are buggy and never reset to their correct values. I've had frozen green dots since the last 5.0.1 update (even after uninstalling and reinstalling BF) 2) Please provide a direct download link on the site so that you can download the latest stable version. It's a pain, every time you have to fill in a form to get the download link by email, even if you're already a personnal customer (no direct link on the store). Cheers.
