Yes we have some protection running on these servers and most likely it triggered a high frequency access from that IP. I will get the security team to review this and unblock you.

Thanks Darren, for the speedy resolution. Hopefully it's solved for @acid king too.

    Cheers,
    Dave

My machines apparently have a "spyware tool" plug-in installed, according to Darren. My Linux Mint machine must have the same spyware tool installed too, because I'm blocked on that machine as well.

The strange thing is that I can't find any info about BlackFog Personal on the website, it now seems to be mostly geared to corporate users, or am I missing something? I just wondered if BlackFog Personal has been improved since the last time I checked, which was years ago.

I had Kaspersky on one machine, which is now uninstalled and running Microsoft Defender and MBAM. It also has HMP.A + Blackfog + OSArmor. I've scanned it with Kaspersky, Norton HMP, MBAM, MD,all found nothing.

My Linux Mint machines has none of those programs and was still blocked last time I checked, So I don't know what it is that is upsetting blackfog.com. Darren suggests (by email) that it looks like something is digging deep into blackfog.com doing something illegal. No idea what.

    Hi Krusty,
Ok i tested with ExpressVPN (using IP from same country as mine)
i can access again to www.blackfog.com
so the problem is Wordfence with some Geo-IP blocking or Black IP listing.
We should give our IP to Darren to unblock our IP from blacklist & cache
or they should use Malcare => There are some problems with Wordfence sometimes
It's the last straw to be blacklisted on the publisher's website for the software I bought, my license is still valid for 2 and a half years.
    Best regards.

Darren said he has whitelisted my IP - for now. We'll see if it stays that way. He may have whitelisted your IP too.

    Thanks for your feedback !
That's good to know if I don't want to keep paying for a vpn.
But with ExpressVPN my connection is not throttled.
Sometimes my ISP divides my download by 2 at certain times.
What's more, ExpressVPN + BlackFog is a real winner in terms of protection.

The thing is, @acid king , my ISP occasionally changes my IP address, so it will be interesting what happens next time it changes.

Until you posted, I hadn't had the need to visit blacfog.com for quite some time, so only checked because of your post.

Stupid me, didn't think to check while connected to a VPN, did I?!

Which VPN are you currently subscribed to?
My ISP never changes my IP address :(
So I think I'll renew my ExpressVPN subscription..

    BlackFog + ExpressVPN + HPMA + uBlock

That way, I won't need Windows Defender or any other antivirus software.
On the other hand, it's clear that it's a whole other budget than the total free NextDNS + DefenderUI + uBlock
(To save a little, next time I'll replace HPMA with OSArmor, which is cheaper)
But Over a 3-year period, HPMA is the same price as OSArmor, so it's still okay.

I've got a subscription to Kaspersky Plus (not currently installed), which includes a separate VPN (which is installed), plus Norton (installed on one machine), which has a built in VPN, so I can use either.
Sounds like a solid setup, but if you've got Defender UI, aren't you also using Defender?

    A little OT now, though.

Yea i used DefenderUI with MS Defender Antivirus => great for free
i use ReviOS 11 and i have defender AV disabled so exit DefenderUI
I think I can do without HPMA and OSArmor and just have MalwareBytes and NPE for occasional manual scanning if need
    => Thanks to BlackFog
i can add Threat Intelligence Feeds - Medium version from hagezi under uBlock if i m getting paranoid..
    https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hagezi/dns-blocklists/main/adblock/tif.medium.txt
I see you're a bit like me, you like to test several setups to find the right combo ^^

p.s: on my smartphone i use BlackFog + NextDNS under Brave

I was a fan of blackfog
but unfortunately I'm beginning to see its limitations

no way to refresh your own license activation on a piece of equipment
(I sent an e-mail to sales@blackfog.com and got no response from them)
+ inability to download the latest version for android
    The download link is broken
I have the installation file I had saved as .apk 4.7 and blackfog doesn't update itself to the latest version.
and I'm still in trial version because Activations: 3 of 3

i m going to uninstall blackfog & install adguard on my samsung android (i have a lifetime licence)
I keep Blackfog on Windows for the moment ( i have a licence until 2026)

I don't see it as a consumer application. Maybe it's OK for commercial entities, ... maybe ...

The problem I see is that users are in a black fog trying to understand it.

Anti Data Exfiltration (ADX) is definitely a great technology, even for personal use.
"BlackFog provides fully automated 24/7 protection to prevent cyberattacks in real time"
But I agree, it lacks transparency on a personal level...
support is starting to show its shortcomings at my level
(Website blocked, android app unavailable, doesn't seem to handle adguard protection packet inspection level properly..)

Fortunately as an early adopter I was offered an Enterprise license, which I am able to keep alive by paying the consumer sub.
Maybe because of this, I have always experienced excellent support, and on occasion have also helped them debug.
I do believe the attempted anti-exfiltration tech is a bonus. Have just had to whitelist some benign powershell commands.
Apparently, quite a big new version (5) coming shortly.
