    Does the key shows "used" in your account when you activated the key?

    Used? Like in already activated or used under a certain account? I put the key in and it came up as 365 days. It then asked me to register the account. I put in my son's email, which wasn't the one I bought it from. Everything seems to be working.

    so it is a mistake from bitdefender?
    or it's really a promo?

    yeah It was a mistake. A lot of folks got it for 13 cents. The mistake didn't get noticed for about 6 hours.
