Is the free version of BD 10 still a on demand and not a real time scanner.

For Win 2000, XP or higher, BD 10 FREE is an on demand scanner only.
BUT! For Win 95 (16 BIT and 32 BIT), Win 98, 98 GOLD, 98SE, and WIN ME,
BD 10 FREE scans on RUN, EXECUTION and ACCESS, as well as on demand, of course.
AND! I can't see why 2000, XP and higher are excluded. Anyone know why?

    Confused Dave HAL

Ok I've got NOD32 would it be worth to also install BD 10 Free and have it as a 2nd backup On Demand scanner.

    Thanks

The problem I have with BD10 free edition is that it has running processes in the background even when not in use. If you disable these processes anything you have in quarantine can connect out to the internet. This was the case as of a few months back, not sure if it still exists or not. I posted about it on the BA forum but they did not seem interested at the time.

Never knew there was a Free OD AntiVir, I thought their free version of AntiVir was a realtime scanner.

    Unless it's something new.

Also hope its hasnt got those stupid annoying popups when it does the def. update.

    Disable the guard.

They are still there unless you circumvent them.
