Can't find any video reviews for it, hope it's not heavy but I have a feeling that it's heavy as space shuttle.

@pabrate: According to my test in VM, BitDefender AntiVirus 2010 (regular/trial version downloaded from original site one month ago) was moderately heavy. Detections were good too although it missed some of the malwares from my collection of more than 3000 real world malware (classified according to Kaspersky Lab). BitDefender UK servers are under heavy load. Just wait around 20 min and you will get email from noreply@www2.bitdefender.com.

 

Do we have to activate it in between 13-14th Aug?

There server was really overloaded, I received multiple emails with different license keys.

So if anyone wants one you can PM me.
Or even better; someone who himself has got a spare license key for a product (preferably Kaspersky Anti-Virus ) might like to swap for one BitDefender.

They have first advertized free version for everyone. On V3 Store they haven't mentioned that this offer is for UK only. Their act will force users to use proxy servers.

I live in the States and was able to get a serial number and download the installer. This was about 3 hours ago. Perhaps they changed things after I got my serial and download.

You have to create an account and log in. Click on the Bitdefender product/giveaway and you should get a "Download" button option.

Their email servers are under heavy load, give it more time.

 

I clicked on the link to get the key and it said I could not get it in my area

Downloaded from the US and no issues yet--From what I'm gathering from below then , this will automatically (after a few updates/scans update to version 2011 next week without me having to do anything other then update??

Hmm I wonder if they will make all the other offers open to the USA I feel its wrong to use a proxy to bypass the rules to get a giveaway.
