For IRAN you should be offline during the Installation and the English version will be installed.....I ve had tried that before, maybe this tip works for other regions....

Well, I never had any log button issue while most people do. The bugs I had were the real-time protection suddenly turned off and I had to re-boot to put it back on. And the OD scans wouldn't finished. It was like pending forever.

It's hard to say thanks if the product doesn't work as we expected, even if the product is free. The bugs are quite fatal for the program to be called usable at all. And not that the paid versions don't have bugs anyway.

The commercial products are bloated monstrosities, I'd choose the free version over them any day. I'd even use the free version, if it did cost money and the commercial versions were free.

That's the most broken and stupid way of thinking. So, if it's free, you have to eat all the manure they serve you? That is especially flawed where free and paid programs have cross featured stuff. For example avast!, AVG, AVIRA, all these share same features in all versions. So if crap is feed to free users, paid users are also affected. So, in best interest of the developer to satisfy paid users, they will try to fix stuff that free users complain about.

That's one of the main benefits of running a free program as a developer. Free users often want to give something in return so they report bugs more often, where paid users sort of just expect the app to work perfectly, after all they paid for it.

This one is a little over ,BD does not steal anything it protects your stuff even if it s free.
As i ve said ,do not use it.

Being robbed is not free ,the guy leaves your house with stuff. That stuff is them sold.I see nothing free in this chain of action. :)

Didn't you read my previous post?
This excuse for a program rendered my machine useless. If I didn't have a backup strategy I would have lost my personal files and settings.
What's your problem besides simple mindedness?

That's the way Bitdefender free keeps malware away from your computer. :D

Furthermore I agree that I won't ever buy a software if the freeware is full of bugs. No way. BTW: Iulika, where are you?

i remember one of Iulika's first posts: "we as the developer know best what you need". but he quickly saw that he was wrong, not the rest of the crowd here. and, with the always-coming-back bugs of BDF, it no surprise he disappeared...

I left BD free to try Panda AV free. The logs button was getting on my nerves.

Autoquarantine killed a no-cd-patch. After restoring the file (logs button was working) it was autoquarantined once again so I had to restore it twice. I hope it's really excluded now.

    If it's still working in 2 weeks, I'll believe it's fixed. :)

I just tried this AV on Win7 pro. It lasted a few hours before I could not bring up the interface at all.

Yes, for anyone who remembers, I am still alive.

I remember Diver from years ago. Although if I remember correctly, under a previous username of mine, I recall frequenting the firewalls forum and seeing you there more often at the time. Or I could be wrong and my memory is not what it used to be.

You are correct. I have been visiting here lately to catch up on AV developments, which I had largely ignored for some time.
