bios updating

hi all

I was wondering if someone could assist me I'm looking in to updating my computers bios drivers however this is something with which I'm not familiar

so as you can imagine I'm a lil skittish because if done incorrectly I could end up frying my mother board

I ran the eSupport.com BIOS Agent and it has generated this report if that helpful for anyone

 

Can you say me your type of motherboard? the brand and version number and I'll check for updates

 

I find Everest very handy for that kind of thing -- not only does it do a fantastic job of ID-ing hardware and firmware, but it will also usually provide hotlinks to the mfr's pages for product info and (with any luck) driver updates. That's how I did the flash-update on my own BIOS.

which is the official page for award bios apparently

but they sent me an email telling me that there was a charge for the new drivers which I recon is a con driver updates should be free
